Technical Notes

Images found in this site were directly captured using a Kontron 3072 ProgRes digital camera. High resolution files are stored on CD-R media in uncompressed TIFF format. Web accessible files were resampled, resized, sharpened and saved into JPEG and GIF formats.

Cataloging of the data was based on suggested Dublin Core fields and metadata was generated from some of these fields and placed into the headers of image-imbedded html files.
