You may license images for personal or research use.

Please be aware that materials made available directly through this web site may be subject to additional restrictions including but not limited to copyright and the rights of privacy and publicity, of parties other than the Library. USERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for determining the existence of such rights and for obtaining any other permissions, and paying associated fees, which may be necessary for the proposed use.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the reproduction of copyrighted material. Customers will be required to sign an indemnification statement in order for reproduction to take place. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

My Gallery allows you to collect a group of images. Images are currently saved to My Gallery only for the duration of your session online. For each of the images you have selected, you will see the image, its unique id and its title. The ID will let you order a reproduction of the image later, if you choose.

You may return to Picture Collection Online to search or browse at any time and these items will be saved while you are online.

You can always change your mind at any point in the ordering process.

Just follow these five simple steps to place your order.

1. To order a reproduction, click on Save to My Gallery.
2. To view My Gallery selections, click on Order on the top menu.
3. From here, you may simply view your items or order reproduction-quality prints. If you decide to purchase a print of an image, click on Select Print Type. This will allow you to select a color or black and white print.
4. After making your selection, you may proceed to Order Reproductions. Complete the contact and shipping information on the form.
5. Print the order summary and fax or mail to Photographic Services & Permissions. Orders for prints from digital images may be placed by mail, phone or fax.

Images supplied are for personal or research use. To access format availability and fees for licensing images for publication or commercial use, please consult the Photographic Services & Permissions web site

All images will be printed on 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper, though the actual image size may be smaller. The Fujix Pictography printer produces extremely sharp and high quality silver halide based prints using a laser activated dye-transfer process.

Charge includes shipping cost to anywhere in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. For optional delivery services or international shipping see below.

Payment Information
Prepayment in full is required. Photographic Services & Permissions accepts payment by credit card (Mastercard, Visa or American Express) and check drawn on a U.S. bank, or on a U.S. branch of a foreign bank; by U.S. postal or bank money order, or international money order drawn on a bank with a branch in the U.S.

Return Policy
There are no refunds on prints or JPEG files from digital images.
