Many ladies having long front hair, which they are accustomed to wear in bandeaux, are naturally reluctant to have it shortened for the purpose of curling… The style of head-dress represented in our engraving will be found to remove this objection : the kind of rouleau curl there adopted, admits of the length of hair being retained without inconvenience." "Side view. In this view of the head-dress, it will be observed that the disposal of the plaits presents precisely the effect of the antique diadem.
