A great many very interesting additions have recently been made to the collection belonging to the Zöological Society of London, and are now to be seen in their renowned gardens in the Regent's Park. Among them is a bird variously styled the didunculus, dodlet, little dodo, and toothed billed pigeon, the scientific name for which is the didunculus strigirostris, which was brought from the Samoan Islands …" Written on border: "May 15, 1875." |
